The festive spirit is in full swing in December, with lights illuminating every street. As we lose ourselves in these lights, it's natural to reflect on the ending year and wonder about the developments and growth possibilities 2024 holds.
There should be no hesitation in saying that Artificial Intelligence was the protagonist of this year, specifically Generative AI, with the introduction in our lives of a name we all know by now: #ChatGPT.

Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI: what’s to come in 2024?
The answer is easily perceivable, but we should still specify that #AI and #GenerativeAI will not be a trend in 2024; truthfully, calling them as such is not realistic anymore. As a matter of fact, a recent research conducted by McKinsey states that Generative AI has the potential to generate between 2.6$ and 4.4$ trillion of dollars, bringing the impact of AI from 15% to 40%. Moreover, McKinsey identified and ranked the #LifeSciences industry among the top three “that could see the biggest impact as a percentage of their revenues from generative AI”. More precisely, the impact on revenue in the pharmaceutical industry is estimated to be around 60$ and 110$ billion dollars annually.
These numbers are promising, especially in a future where #technology and #digitalization will continue to drive #innovation, but the challenges to be faced are still complex and diverse.
The customer centric approach has already been embraced by companies; but knowing on which #touchpoints, or #content, efforts should be focused in order to create highly personalized, and consequently, effective interactions with HCPs, is increasingly challenging. This is where Generative AI can truly make the difference in 2024. According to the same McKinsey research cited above, #Pharma and #LifeScience industries will benefit from a great impact in terms of #commercial and #marketing strategies: the perfect mix between the intrinsic #power of #AI to easily and promptly analyze vast amounts of #data, and #GenerativeAI capability of creating useful content based on scientific documentation, will enable teams to effectively interact with #HCPs, while achieving long-lasting relationships.
